Paul J. Southworth
President and CEO, CircuLite, Inc. Mr. Southworth joined CircuLite at its inception in 2004 and has over 30 years global experience as an executive manager in the medical device field. His early career spans positions of increasing responsibility at Becton Dickinson, C. R. Bard and Davis & Geck/B. Braun, where he was Vice President of Global Operations, managing over 20 facilities and 3,000 employees, and later President of the Americas, Wound Closure. Mr. Southworth joined Boston Scientific Corporation in 1996, as President of Meadox, a world leader in vascular grafts, and was later appointed President Vascular Division, Research and Development/Technical Operations with responsibility for $700M in revenue and 3,500 employees. In 1999, Mr. Southworth joined Datascope Corporation, as Corporate Vice President and President of the Cardiac Assist Division, a $120M worldwide counterpulsation therapy business. Mr. Southworth has a Masters of Business Administration in Business Management, and serves on the Advisory Board of Right Management Consultants.

John Budris
Chief Technology Officer Mr. Budris joined CircuLite in 2007 as Chief Technology Officer and brings over 25 years of experience in the design, development and commercialization of medical devices and implants. Prior to joining CircuLite, Mr. Budris was the Vice President of Research and Development for the Cardiac Assist division of Datascope and held similar senior management positions at Boston Scientific (Medi-tech/Meadox) and Wyeth/Cyanamid, (Davis & Geck). During the last 12 years of his career he has focused on the development of cardiothoracic surgical and interventional cardiology products. Mr. Budris has a Masters of Science in Chemistry and a Masters of Business Administration.

Gail Farnan, RN
Vice President, Marketing Ms. Farnan joined CircuLite in 2006 as Vice President, Marketing bringing a unique combination of over 15 years of interventional cardiology marketing and 10 years of cardiovascular nursing experience. Prior to joining CircuLite, Ms. Farnan held leadership positions at Impella/Abiomed, Novoste, Cordis (JNJ) and C. R. Bard. Ms Farnan has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing.

Carol Krieger
Vice President, Scientific Affairs Ms. Krieger joined CircuLite in 2007 as Vice President, Scientific Affairs. Ms. Krieger has over 20 years experience in clinical research, regulatory and quality assurance. Prior to joining CircuLite, Ms. Krieger held leadership positions at Cardiovascular Research Foundation, Alfa Wassermann, Cardioclasp, Stryker Howmedica Osteonics, Boston Scientific, C. R. Bard and Roche Diagnostic Systems. Ms. Krieger has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and a Masters of Business Administration in Economics.

Robert Farnan
Director, Endovascular and Cannula Engineering
Mr. Farnan joined CircuLite in 2006 as Director, Endovascular and Cannula Engineering and brings to CircuLite over 20 years of medical device design and development. Prior to joining CircuLite, Mr. Farnan was a Principal Engineer for Cordis (JNJ) for both interventional neurological and cardiology products. His previous experience also includes Novoste, W. L. Gore, Schneider USA, C. R. Bard and Impra. Mr. Farnan has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Oliver Marseille, Ph.D.
Managing Director, CircuLite GmbH Dr. Marseille joined CircuLite in 2004 as Managing Director of CircuLite GmbH and brings to CircuLite over 15 years experience in the development of circulatory assist devices. Prior to joining CircuLite, Dr. Marseille was head of research and development at Medos AG. Dr. Marseille has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in the development of rotary blood pumps.

Wolfgang Kerkhoffs
Technical Director, CircuLite GmbH Mr. Kerkhoffs joined CircuLite in 2005 as Technical Director of CircuLite GmbH with over 10 years experience in the development of circulatory assist devices. Prior to joining CircuLite, Mr. Kerkhoffs was responsible for the development of a circulatory assist blood pump at the Institute for Biomedical Technologies (formerly the Helmholtz Institute). Mr. Kerkhoffs has a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
